Stanek victorious, Wiedl & Rickert fall

Jordan Stanek controlled Chetek/Prairie Farm's Shaun Robotka (35-10) from the beginning of the match winning 7-2 to setup a showdown with Dylan Iczkowski (40-1) of Mosinee.  Stanek will wrestle tomorrow afternoon in the D2 state quarterfinals.At 112 pounds, Adam Wiedl couldn't put up any points against Berlin's Joe Selsing and at 119 pounds, Brandon Rickert fell 6-0 to Luck/Frederic/Grant's Austin Eskola (37-10).  Wiedl finishes the year with a 39-13 record while Rickert finished his sophomore campaign with a 27-7 record.At 215 pounds, Pewaukee's Kent Girmscheid picked up a 12-5 victory over Stanley-Boyd/Thorp's Steve Chojnacki.  It wasn't a pretty win, but Tourdot will wrestle the stout Girmscheid (44-5) tomorrow afternoon.I'll be posting photos tonight of Wiedl, Rickert and Stanek's matches so check back here in a little bit.
