Spartans win Reedsburg Duals
It wasn't as close or dramatic as last year, but the Spartans still got a handful from Weston/Ithaca. This year the Spartans prevailed 44-27 to finish the day 5-0 and win the Reedsburg Duals for the third year in a row.In the championship match against Weston/Ithaca, Sparta won eight of the 14 matches including seven by pin, technical fall or forfeit. Picking up pins for the Spartans were Dylan Winchel, Derek VonRuden, Kyle Burkhalter and Chris Beeler. In the four duals before Weston/Ithaca, Sparta defeated Lancaster 43-24, Reedsburg 68-12, Oregon 52-21 and Monroe 56-11.As you can see by the records above, this might be one of the most balanced teams top to bottom Sparta's had in awhile.
