Spartans continue rise in polls...

Sparta now finds itself ranked 8th in Division Two according to Wisconsin Wrestling Online.  That's up three spots from a few weeks ago when the Spartans moved out of the land of honorable mentions and into the actual rankings.  More importantly, they continue to close the gap with Lodi (ranked 4th), a team in their sectional that they will likely have to face if they hope to make it to the state team tournament at the end of the year.  Lodi is a perennial powerhouse in Wisconsin Division Two wrestling having qualified for the state team tournament every year since 2002 while taking home two state team titles and three runner-up titles in that span.On the individual side, Matt Tourdot continues to hold down the top spot at his weight class at 215 pounds, while Jordan Stanek holds steady coming in ranked 8th at 189 pounds.  The same can be said for Toby Mosley at 130 pounds who remains an honorable mention. To see the latest team rankings, click here...To see the latest individual rankings, click here...
